Calathea Ornata are the healthiest when they are grown in bright, indirect sunlight. Any long-term exposure to sun may result in burnt leaves. After a few days of warm, bright light, we’re sure you’ll spot some new growth!

The Calathea Ornata can grow up to 50cm in size when grown in favourable parameters.

Care Guide

Apply a slow-release fertiliser every six months and a liquid fertiliser every 1 – 2 weeks when watering. Remember not to soak the soil too much or root rot could occur.
Wipe the leaves every month to maintain leaf health and clear any dust. If you live in an area that is of low humidity, mist the plants to maintain health. Use a good quality indoor potting mix for best results!
